Pretend it’s last Friday…

This is a belated entry from Friday, because…
A) I like using the word ‘belated’
B) Friday’s are the point of the week with the maximum amount of time until there is yet more work, and therefore should not be wasted typing meaningless drivel at a computer. Unless it’s raining. Which it wasn’t.
C) I’m lazy.

Friday. The day of the work summer barbeque. And it was SUNNY!

We get wheeled out once a year for fun and games, and whilst I have a tendancy to be slightly completely cynical about such things, I do actually appreciate and enjoy these annual efforts.

‘All You Need Is Love’ was playing on a perpetual loop (which was nice) as they guy doing the DJing was getting his face painted. A number of clumsy people got minor fractures and abbrasions from the inflatable assault course. The barbeque got a bit lively at one stage (i.e. caught fire) resulting in the menu being inventively amended to ‘authentic cajun’. Mark won me a coconut (which I still haven’t got a clue how to break into) and I won a Tesco’s shopping list pad in the tombola. What’s not to love?

Check out my Flickr photo stream for pictorial evidence (I haven’t labelled any of them, so you’ll have to make up your own minds as to what’s going on in them).
