Total egg-nog frenzy

Today is my last day in the office before Christmas… hoorah! It is also our office Christmas ‘do’ – out for a late lunch and stay out until we drop. Drink-wise I am definitely not at fighting strength these days; I think it’s age. A couple of Grand Marnier’s (my xmas tipple of choice) and I know I’ll be the one talking too loudly and blurting out exactly what comes into my head. Dangerous.

I hope that the Christmas spirit kicks in soon though, because as of righ now it feels like, about October. Coats are very much optional at the moment, although umbrellas are mandatory. I wear my stripey scarf indoors all the time anyway, but that’s because I’m an ipod-toting geek.

Where we’re going is one of the older streets in Southampton that wasn’t totally bombed during the war (Bedford Place), so it feels olde-worlde and pretty christmassy all the time. I am hoping the addition of a tree and twinkly lights will tip me over the edge into total egg-nog frenzy!
