Camber Sands

Some news on my ‘big plan‘ – I now have an official notebook which I carry everywhere with me! I know, I know I have lots of notebooks already (you sound just like my husband) but a girl needs a new notebook for some things – important things.

For days the only writing in it was on page one (it said ‘the plan’) but I am pleased to report that I didn’t let the blank pages intimidate me for long and I now have quite a few words that feel ‘right’. I’m quite excited!

In the meantime, here are some photos of Camber Sands where, if it hadn’t been freeeeeeezing cold when I was there – I would have lingered longer. I love a sandy beach!

Nothing like a proper sandy beach – of course the sunshine helps a lot too :)

I love that last picture. I mean, I love all your pictures but I especially LOVE that last one. It has such a wonderful abstract but real quality to it. It reminds me of my childhood in Hastings. Of cold dirty beaches that were somehow better, more exciting, than a hot, white sandy beach ever could be.

There was lots of ‘treasure’ on that beach!

Also, re. plans, you’ll have to take some pictures of your notebook scawls one day. I love seeing other people’s scribbles. In a non-voyeristic way, I promise. It’s more the aesthetics that appeal to me. i’m weird. I’m going to shut up. Before I go though: just thought I should tell you that, as promised, you inspired me to give my blog a bit of a shakeup. It didn’t go quite as planned, but i’m very excited about it. Thank you! (it has a new address but you should be able to get to it via the website link that goes with this comment – shameless self-promotion ;-b)

I love the last picture too. I love the bright orange lines from the net and is that a styrafoam ball? Pretty neat.

Also, I have soo many notebooks. All of them are only filled out with a few pages, and I keep getting gifted more! It’s overwhelming but there’s nothing like a fresh empty notebook for inspiration.

Ah yes, it could be styrofoam – there was lots of it about – i guess when it’s been in the sea for ages then this could be how it looks – like some sort of weird jellyfish!
(And I’m hearing you loud and clear re: the notebook) 😉
