Whilst watching the Hard Spell on the BBC has been a strangely compelling affair – it’s a little depressing to think that most eleven year olds can spell much better than I ever will, and that there are still loads of words in common usage I’ve never heard of (let alone would be able to spell).
On this note, I would also say never play Scrabble against a computer, as it knows all the stupid wouds with z and x and j in that no ne ever uses, ever!
