Four

There are four things that are happening this weekend which might be quite fun.

1. There’s the whole valentine’s business – luckily I am married to someone who is equally cynical of card-buying occassions so we’ll make do with genuine shows of affection rather than cards, chocolates and flowers.

2. That said, there is also the Love Fair going on in Southampton over the weekend. Now, this is a new thing and I’m not 100% sure what this entails… will it just be a street market selling all the normal stuff (but heart-adorned) or will it be seomething more risqué? This may all become a moot point because of item 3…

3. On Saturday Saints play Pompey in the FA cup, here in Southampton (come on you Saints)! If you’re not from round these parts then you won’t be aware of the deadly rivalry – it’s legendary, passionate and often gets a little out of hand (the Love Fair will have its work cut out for it ).

4. My fave of the the four things though happens on Sunday – it’s Chinese New Year (hello, Tigers) and there’s a dragon parade to celebrate. Some colour and movement for my lovely lenses to get their teeth into, I can’t wait!
