Fuji Instax Mini 25

It’s probably been a whole six weeks or so since I got my hands on a new camera, so I have remedied this with this little purchase (little being the operative word).

It’s a FujiFilm Instax Mini 25. I got it from an ebay seller in Japan along with a pile of film. I am now ready to shoot out little credit-card sized photos to my hearts content!

The first thing to say about it is that is IS mini. The ‘mini’ cameras they made before this one were really rather huge – I love how small and flat this one is. I’ll be able to carry it round with me all the time and snap away with Fuji Instax Mini film. Film that’s readily available, unlike my precious, precious Polaroid :(  Just think – I’l be able to just wander into a camera shop and buy more film! Weird.

Hang on though, let’s have a closer look at that gorgeous looking camera bag…

A camera this cute and cuddly deserves an equally desirable bag to live in – this one is made from vintage Hungarian cotton (so soft, I can’t stop fondling it). It was created by one of my absolute favourite bloggers and crafty-gurus tinyhappy. Check out her blog and her shop – both are equally inspiring!

So, here’s my first shot. I never knew I could make my eyes look in different directions like that! (That’s a sweet pea flower in my hair. Hippy).

Even though I already have a Polaroid Mio, I got the Mini 25 a few weeks ago. I love how cute & small & white it is! Can’t wait to take it to my cousin’s wedding later this summer. I find Instax Mini doesn’t do well with my typical photo style tendencies, but it’s awesome for fun candid portraits.
