Whilst I’ll admit to desperately clinging on to the coat-tails of summer, I’ve seen more than one brown leaf flutter down before my eyes and plenty of bright orange pumpkins in the shops, so we all know what that means!

Moving into Autumn and the long, chill evenings does have an up side though – the chance to settle down to some crafty activities – such as making calendars from your photos of the last 12 months. This is something I’ve done for myself in previous years, and this year I thought I’d share my template with you guys as they’re a great budget-option for christmas pressies!

It’s designed to fit neatly into one of those CD jewel case calendars, although it will work just as well held together with a binder clip. Each page is 118.5mm x 137mm.

calendar example 2013

  1. Simply open the template in Photoshop (I believe this will work in Photoshop Elements too).
  2. Place your chosen photo just above the background layer.
  3. By default the background to the dates on the calender is solid white, but if you choose you can change the opacity to let some of the photo show through.
  4. Select the correct date layer, print out, cut out and you’re done!

I’ve tried this dimension but if I fit 2 per page part of the 2013 is chopped off!

        Thanks

Hi Angie! I’ve made a “test” calendar in two sizes using your template! I got my prints so I wanted to show it to you. Thanks so much for the template. I’m not an expert in psd files at all and still it was soo easy to use! http://www.flickr.com/photos/milagrosleiva/8115196688/in/photostream/

Thanks, Angie–this template is great! I made “cat calendars” as a giveaway for my debut ebook HOMECOMING, a Wisconsin reunion romance (that happens to feature 9 cats!). Just finished it today. If anyone would like a calendar, just email me: mail at janetwellington.com — AND my ebook is on sale at Amazon for only 99-cents right now. Here’s a link if you want to check it out–I’ve gotten some good reviews for this book of my heart.

The .psd file is only of January ? How do I get the rest of the months?? And, is there one with regular layout for weeks (7 columns across) ?

Hi Jake – if you go to ‘window’>’layers’ you should see each month is on its own layer. (And this is the only layout I’ve done).

I loved the calender 2013 template which I downloaded from here :

    http://www.angiemuldowney.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/calendar-template-2013.zip

    Thanks.
I made 2 different groups of calenders and shared them with my family members in India and abroad.
I have my grandchildren visiting us in India in August and would like to take back with them 2 groups of calenders for 2014.
I know its a bit early but is it possible to have the same template to cover Year 2014 so that I could gift them the calenders bearing their pictures when they leave for canada in September 2013 for use in 2014.

Love your site. Its just awesome. Ranbir Singh
