Winter ponderland

I ponder on some very random things when I’m in meetings at work drifting off to sleep. Like, why do you never get goosebumps on your face? How does dry-cleaning work? And why is it I’ve not used my beloved Polaroid SX-70 camera for so long?!

I need to remedy this, pronto – I have everything crossed for a sunshine-filled weekend – sunlight is the key. Hang on, let me check… hmm, maybe Sunday.

Now I’m back at work it really does feel like the world is swathed in constant darkness. Not in a depressing way, just in a frustrating “I want to use my camera” way! I take solace in the knowledge that every day now the daylight is lasting the teeniest, weeniest bit longer.

Anyhoo, I was browsing through my archives (in a bid to re-ignite my instant photography fire) and I thought I’d share a few of my favourite shots:

polaroid SX-70 - beach

polaroid SX-70 - ranunculus

polaroid SX-70 - magnolia

polaroid SX-70 - curtains

polaroid SX-70 - beach huts

polaroid SX-70 - lifesaver

Here’s to days filled with bright yellow sunshine, short sleeves, ice lollies and ISO50!

Oh Angie these are so beautiful, I’m still sad that I’ve never taken polaroid photos like these.. I do feel like I should take my land camera out more now though :)

I feel exactly the same, the frustration of it being dark all the time when I can actually take photos is killing me!

I’d love to see what you get up to with your big Polaroid Land camera – I have one and it scares me quite a lot… one day I’ll tackle it (probably).
      Roll on springtime!
