Say hello to Marilyn! I just know you’re going to love her artistic interpretation of the natural (and manmade) world – before she answers her 5fives here’s a bit more info about her…
I’m a photographer and an artist, mostly retired, and live in Canada. I spend as much time as possible outdoors because that is where things that pique my curiosity reside. I find a great deal of pleasure in creative pursuits and there is always something that draws me forward to experiment with new tools and equipment. Besides the photography I paint, I draw, I doodle and always have a project of some kind on the go.
As a photographer I like doing macro close-ups best of all. I find such intriguing design and colour in the tiniest of spaces. Weathered wood, metal and cement also captivate me. Nature doing it’s work at decomposing, one small space at a time, and other parts of nature coming in to assist. Water mesmerizes me as well, and I can spend a great deal of time trying to capture its sparkle and fluid motion (not often with success).
It’s a fun life and I encourage everyone I can to explore their creative side – to just have fun and try something different. One never knows where the path may lead.
