Rockbound

Even though it’s only about 30 miles from my comfy armchair, I haven’t been to Stonehenge since I was about ten years old, and even then I only went because it was a school trip and meant a change from proper learning.

Whilst you can’t change the fact that it’s basically just a load of old rocks in a big old field, you can’t help wondering why the heck they bothered to build the thing in the first place. Of course they may well have been charging five quid entry fee back then as well, which would help explain the whole thing. With TV and the internet yet to be invented, I bet looking at Stonehenge was like the Disneyland of the ancient world.
