Though not technically a part of the weekend, I had Friday off work, so it was included as special guest day this week. So. Friday. We went to the seaside! To Brighton to be exact… seaside with attitude. The beach itself is pretty rubbish – a steep bank of murderously oddly-shaped pebbles – unsuitablefor the sturdious of flip-flop; lapped by sea the temperature of a blueberry slush-puppy. But, on a sunny, summery day (like it was on Friday) it was a great place to be – loads of interesting people, from the odd to the very, very odd and loads of cool shops, cafes, bars etc. Then there’s the pier – how I love a pier! A plank of wood stuck out in the sea, magically transforming the shoddy, third-rate entertainment into irresistable wonderfulness!
