Getting plastered

Happy weekend everyone – even though it’s almost all over! Wow, October; golden foliage, pumpkins, woolly socks – I love it. Bye bye leaves, see you again next year.

I’ve been verrrry quiet on this blog of mine lately haven’t I. The main reason is that my existence lately has resembled some sort of groundhog day experience. Always the same. Always the same. Always the same. And STILL no lottery win! Excuses, excuses.

There is something that is different though – the dining room. It has been transformed from an artex-walled dumping-ground of a nightmare to a freshly plastered blank canvas – and it’s scaring me a bit. There’s about three days left until the plaster is completey dry and I have to make some decisions. During my months of procrastination I had such clear plans about what I wanted to do in there – colours, wallpapers, furniture, everything. Now though, I have ‘decorators block’ and am spending every spare moment I have pouring over interior design magazines/websites for inspiration. I’ve made myself stick to the British publications for fear of spotting exactly the perfect dining room chair or cabinet at a bargain price on the other side of the planet. Thankfully that’s OK though, there’s still lots of choice. Too much choice.

Maybe this wallpaper? Maybe.

Back again soon, promise, I have to make some coffee and study my new Living Etc magazine…
