When I was a kid I love playing ‘shop’ and my toy cash-register was my most prized possession. I still love shops, especially lovely little independent ones that I’ve never been to before. Any sort of shop, I really don’t mind. They’re such a great subject if you’re stuck for something to photograph – the kindly shop-owners have done all the hard work for you – whether it be Harrod’s Christmas window display or some altogether more humble efforts, such as greengrocers…
Flower shops…
And best of all, a shop full of old books – who can resist?

7 June 2010 at 00:56Hiya – I am indeed in the UK – I haven’t tried *loads* of different films in my Pentax, but the one I love most is Kodak Ektar 100 which also happens to be pretty cheap too, about £3.50. I tried the über-cheap development from Tesco (less than £2 for development and CD) but the quality wasn’t brilliant. I was very impressed with the quality from Boots though – a bit more expensive but a definite improvement.
Definitley give it a go though, it’s a fabulous camera and I’ve learnt so much through going back to basics with it.
