As the four day weekend that accompanies Easter is now well and truly over I thought I would reminisce a bit more about my magical trip to Cornwall last month.
One of the cameras I took with me was my Fuji Instax Mini 25. It’s the most compact of all the instant cameras I have – almost pocket-sized (I have big pockets).
Look at this sweet little car – typically though, the one time I get the horizon spot on is when I was on a hill so it looks wonky anyway!
I quite like the softness of the images, but the colours and how it deals with depth of field is not quite as magical as my trusty old Polaroid.

12 April 2012 at 09:29I love this film, I’m just going to say it… I try not to compare it to polaroid as they are so different, but I still love it. I actually think I’m going to have to recrop all my photos as I much prefer them without the frame…
Beautiful photos as ever Angie, I want to go to there!

12 April 2012 at 19:00Thank you! You (and your cameras) would love Cornwall!
I’m definitely a ‘crop off the white frame’ kind of girl – i want every one of the few pixels I have available to me to be all about the image.

17 April 2012 at 13:26I’ve been curious about the Instax but hadn’t pulled the trigger on buying one yet. That the camera is small (for instant) is attractive, but the softness of these images… well, not so much.

18 April 2012 at 14:21To be fair, they don’t look this soft in real life – scanning them in has definitely enhanced the softness. You’d probably prefer the Instax 200 – the bigger film gives MUCH sharper results (although the camera itself is also HUGE).
