I seem to be on the ‘go slow’, blog-wise since my road-trip – I still have films to have processed too – unforgivable!
The next stop after Liverpool was Caernarfon in north Wales. So you don’t ever forget you’re in Wales, they emblazon everything with a dragon. Everything!
It’s quite the fairytale town, surrounded by medieval walls and with a huge castle dominating every view. Compared to most of north Wales this is like a heaving metropolis (and largely sheep-free).
The only thing bigger and more impressive than the castle are the mountains in the distance – more about those in my next post though!
Oh, and then there are all the brightly coloured shops and houses – so sweet! This seems to be a ‘thing’ in Wales. I like it!
So yes, I loved it there! A great base for exploring, especially if you’re a bit unnerved by anywhere too remote or rural (like me).

4 October 2012 at 11:48I loved Caernarfon, though we weren’t there long. Wales was the first holiday I took my holga on, so I’m very fond of it lol.
I took an almost identical photo to your first one in Whitby weirdly
p.s. I have 13 films to develop, eek!!

I’m SO impressed you have 13 films to develop that’s going some! (PS – can you do a post on how you store all your negatives/CDs etc – mine are getting out of control)!
