I spent Friday in wonderful company plus the sun was shining and I had a bag full of cameras. What could be better?
We explored the Hampshire countryside and stopped by the Lavender farm I was a bit dismissive of a few weeks ago. Wow, I am so glad we did, and not just for the lavender which looked so much better than before, but just look at these flowers – how fabulous!
I have to say, even though (or maybe because) I wasn’t expecting it, the ‘camera of the day’ turned out to be my new little Sony NEX 5R (with the 16-50mm kit lens). There’s no viewfinder and in blinding sunshine the LCD screen is almost unusable; you have to use your instincts and trust in auto-focus – quite Lomo-like in that you have to just point and shoot and hope for the best…
All taken with a Sony NEX 5R and 16-50mm lens

30 July 2013 at 23:45Thank you! The film was OK – not brilliant not as great as my Kodak Ektar or FujiPro but more than acceptable and great for experimenting with for £1 (and only £3 for 1hr dev and CD at Asda). I’ll add some photos here in a day or two
(Thanks again for an amazing day! x)
