Sunny days have more to do with you than the weather

We’re on heatwave day 16 (or something like that) and it’s amazing! Couple this with living by the sea and you can see why it’s a big deal. After work on Friday we took off to Lepe – it’s not a touristy beach as it’s a bit stony (and has one shop which is never open). Yes, you have to share the water with ferries and super-tankers but I like that!

The land you can see across the water is the Isle of Wight. You’d swear you could swim there in no time, however after 5 minutes of swimming all that has happened is you’ve drifted parallel to the shore then slammed into the wooden groyne. Not cool, 16-year old me. Not cool.

Anyhoo, this is where I spent Friday evening with a handful of other people whilst everyone else fought there way into Bournemouth. I made myself take some photos even though I wasn’t feeling it. Sometimes though you need to go through the motions in order for that feeling to come back. I am happy to report  the pilot light is not completely extinguished and  I actually had a lot of fun taking these.

Keep cool, everyone!

I got lucky, some kid dropped their ice cream (so not so lucky for them) :)

Lovely photos! That’s a lovely beach too, by the looks of things – better I’m sure than all the sandy ones that were packed with people! :)
