We’re on heatwave day 16 (or something like that) and it’s amazing! Couple this with living by the sea and you can see why it’s a big deal. After work on Friday we took off to Lepe – it’s not a touristy beach as it’s a bit stony (and has one shop which is never open). Yes, you have to share the water with ferries and super-tankers but I like that!
The land you can see across the water is the Isle of Wight. You’d swear you could swim there in no time, however after 5 minutes of swimming all that has happened is you’ve drifted parallel to the shore then slammed into the wooden groyne. Not cool, 16-year old me. Not cool.
Anyhoo, this is where I spent Friday evening with a handful of other people whilst everyone else fought there way into Bournemouth. I made myself take some photos even though I wasn’t feeling it. Sometimes though you need to go through the motions in order for that feeling to come back. I am happy to report the pilot light is not completely extinguished and I actually had a lot of fun taking these.
Keep cool, everyone!
All taken with my Canon 5D MkII and 50mm f/1.4 lens
