March 2006 has been a chilly affair here in England. Rarely does the temperature reach double figures (celcius) and snow has been a common occurrance. Imagine then, the party atmosphere that ensued at Perranporth beach in Cornwall when the sun came out on Sunday and only two or three layers of clothes were needed (zero layers for the local rugby team who decided on a sunset skinny-dip)!

24 March 2006 at 07:04The high here in Arizona today was 26 C, but we just went through a period of 130 days without rain. Summer will probably top 40 C for 3 months, which makes an outdoor pool as warm as a bath, but it’s hard on a person like me, who likes to wear jackets and layered clothing…
