The malteser cake, it was a huge success! Not only did it look just like the picture in the recipe book, but it also tasted just perfect and I’ll definitely be making it again. Don’t be thrown by the small amount of butter that is used in the actual sponge cake, or the slightly rubberyness when you first touch it when it’s cooled, when it’s all iced up and allowed to chill in the fridge overnight it is sublime.
