50 shades of brown

I spent an afternoon in the New Forest last week. Possibly it wasn’t quite as brown as the photos below are showing, but that’s my overriding memory of the place. Luckily though I rather like brown, after all it’s the colour of coffee, chocolate, humans and teddy bears – all the good things in life!

I realised when I was there how very few of my hours each week are spent out of doors; doing things like breathing in proper air, walking on non-man-made surfaces, that sort of thing. Whilst I’ll always be a city girl at heart, I always feel so much better after connecting with the countryside.

I think my new years resolution will be to engage my inner Bear Grylls  and get a bit more intimate with Mother Nature – I hear she’s quite the awesome babe! (So long as it doesn’t rain).

I’m guilty of not spending enough time outdoors to enjoy the fresh air & mother nature. Sometimes it’s a bit of a challenge coz in my part of the world, it rains often. But I have to say that we haven’t gotten our usual amount of rain so I really have no excuse. I’m definitely going to try to intentionally go outside and go for a walk & just breathe in the fresh air.
Thanks for the reminder! Great pix! :)

These are beautiful Angie, I love the horses and the last shot especially.

I spent 10 years living in Norfolk, and my parents still live in the middle of nowhere, I can’t wait to go home at Christmas to enjoy the fresh air now.

Never been a big fan of brown. Despite the chocolate thing. It was just too brown. But then you came along and made brown beautiful and interesting. And light and sparkly. And soft and textured. And not all that brown at all really. Just really really lovely. I am now a fan of brown. Your brown anyway.

Lovely stuff here! My grandma lives in Lymington and I need to get out on my bicycle to take some pictures in the New Forest :)

I take it for granted a bit, living so close – it’s a great place for photography!
