Bank holiday fun

polaroid gloves

It’s been a remarkably cold and miserable spring so far this year – I mean record-breakingly so. Everybody’s had it up to here [points to area above head].

Today though, May Day Bank Holiday of all days, has felt almost tropical with temperatures of 22°C/72°F.  (Oi, don’t laugh)!

I don’t have any great bank holiday adventure to share with you – just being outdoors without a coat; with actual bare skin touching the air has been adventure enough.

I’ve even been gardening – if everything goes to plan I should be eating lots of the following this year:

  • apples
  • brocolli
  • lettuce
  • peppers
  • aubergines (stripy ones)
  • tomatoes (lots of heritage types)
  • wild strawberries
  • blueberries
  • rhubarb
  • courgettes

But I’m hungry NOW! Especially as everyone in the country is having a BBQ tonight – it’s all I can smell.

See you tomorrow x
I’m blogging Every Day in May – let me know if you are too!

I am glad your skin could feel the air and it was not bitter cold. Our spring weather has been a bit off as well. Thankfully, for the last couple of weeks it has been positively divine. : )

Best glove picture ever. Not joking. Also: I am jealous of your garden! How amazingly cool to have all that stuff growing. I already can’t wait to see pictures of your bountiful crops later in the year.
