It’s been a remarkably cold and miserable spring so far this year – I mean record-breakingly so. Everybody’s had it up to here [points to area above head].
Today though, May Day Bank Holiday of all days, has felt almost tropical with temperatures of 22°C/72°F. (Oi, don’t laugh)!
I don’t have any great bank holiday adventure to share with you – just being outdoors without a coat; with actual bare skin touching the air has been adventure enough.
I’ve even been gardening – if everything goes to plan I should be eating lots of the following this year:
- apples
- brocolli
- lettuce
- peppers
- aubergines (stripy ones)
- tomatoes (lots of heritage types)
- wild strawberries
- blueberries
- rhubarb
- courgettes
But I’m hungry NOW! Especially as everyone in the country is having a BBQ tonight – it’s all I can smell.
See you tomorrow x
I’m blogging Every Day in May – let me know if you are too!
