Gothic autumn

OK, so Autumn is turning out to be just the inspiration I need to get out with my camera.

Yesterday I visited the old Victorian cemetery in town; it’s near my house and a favourite old haunt of mine.

Everything is still mostly green but that just makes the splashes of colour show up even more (a bit like when you spot your first grey hair).

Normally I’d be picking at the blackberries as I wandered around but there’s something not quite right about eating fruit from a cemetery… which is crazy, I know, but I’m all too familiar with Christina Rossetti’s Goblin Market, so I’m careful!
