Back as a kid in the 80s I remember going on school trips to the Tudor House museum in Southampton (much of the city was flattened by enemy bombs during WWII so this was one of the few ‘old’ places left to visit).
It’s been closed for ages but after more than 20 years of restoration and repair it is open again, so we went for a visit today; me, admin and my Mum (who is mad about the Tudors) and got to see it from the inside out, for a change…
There’s all sorts to see inside, they’ve done a great job…
It’s not all Tudor though, a lot is Georgian…
And some is Victorian…
And some is very much 21st century, like this grass roof…
The outdoor space was just as interesting as the interior…
So, all in all a great day out! Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend, too.

You have a lovely blog. I found it through the Photoswap group on Flickr.
