Don’t let the Scooby-Doo-ness of the location fool you – a spooky Victorian cemetery is just place to spot those early signs of Spring that mean so much at this time of year.
It’s always pretty lush here, thanks to all the conifers. Yew green and grave grey are the two dominant colour tones here.
Look a little closer though and there is life everywhere.
The sight of a tree smothered in (almost imperceptible) tiny buds is such a hope-filled sight – even more so when you spy a tree with thousands of acid-yellow catkins.
All these were taken with my amazing 40mm lens which I’m falling more and more in love with each time I use it (and hasn’t been off my camera since I bought it)!

23 February 2014 at 23:44I have heard such great things about the 40mm. I love that Spring is coming to you! We still have snow on the ground but I am praying Spring is coming to us too!
